Hi. My name is Sister Harris and I want spring now.

3/30/14
Hello, there! We had a good week. I have not worn tights for an entire 10 days and I refuse to put them on again. Which means I get about 587 dirty looks per second from the babushkas that populate this city and who are still wearing full coats, hats, and the occasional scarf. I WILL NOT WEAR THE TIGHTS. So done with that. This week it started to warm up though so that was good. We had a way good week this week. We are meeting with a guy from Africa. He's way cool because he met with missionaries in Africa and then he moved to Russia for school and we found him. He's so solid and it's so much fun teaching him. One of my favorite things this week has been studies. My companion and I have been studying the Atonement. The Atonement is mind blowing. I cannot even begin to comprehend it. But something way cool that I read this week was a talk by Elder Holland called Missionary Work and the Atonement. One of my favorite parts talks about the purpose of bearing testimony. It says we bear testimony so that the person we are teaching will hear the echos of the testimony they themselves bore in the pre-earth life, because they did bear that testimony of Christ otherwise they wouldn't be here. So cool. We got to watch the general women's meeting yesterday and it was so good. I loved it. I loved hearing that the errand of angels is given to women. I cannot think of anything I would rather be doing than getting to be somebody's angel here in Russia. So cool. I'm the luckiest girl in the world. Real life. This last week our mission set a goal to get 104 member present lessons to hit the average of the Eastern Europe area. We blew it out of the water and got 177. Way cool. We're all just working hard and loving life! I love you all and I hope you have a great week! I will continue to only wear a coat when absolutely neccessary and avoid tights like the plague. Love, Sister Harris
